Stained Glass Kōkako Art Print

About This Art Print

There's something unforgettable about hearing the haunting call of the kōkako echo through a native forest. Graceful, rare and uniquely New Zealand, it's one of our most treasured native birds.

This design is part of my Stained Glass Collection – a series that reimagines some of New Zealand's most iconic flora, fauna and landscapes through the colourful, light-filled beauty of stained glass.

The kōkako's distinctive blue wattles, soft grey plumage and elegant form have been reimagined in stained glass, capturing the quiet beauty of a bird that has become a symbol of conservation and hope.

Whether you've been lucky enough to encounter one in the wild or simply admire New Zealand's extraordinary wildlife, this print is a colourful tribute to one of Aotearoa's true treasures.
