There was a time when many Kiwi kids were convinced that tomato sauce made almost every meal better.

Whether it was spread over pies, sausages, chips or just about anything else on the dinner plate, tomato sauce often felt less like a condiment and more like an essential food group.

Saucefication playfully imagines an official New Zealand health campaign encouraging us all to "Eat Your Sauce!" Complete with vintage public health styling and the reassuring endorsement of "Doctors Say Yes", it's the kind of wonderfully questionable advice every sauce-loving child would have been delighted to hear.

Inspired by those familiar retro health posters and our national affection for tomato sauce, this artwork celebrates one of New Zealand's great comfort foods with Glenn's trademark humour and nostalgia.

Saucefication is an art print by Glenn Jones, celebrating Kiwi food culture, childhood memories and the simple belief that everything tastes better with tomato sauce.
