Almost every New Zealander has a favourite dairy.

It might have been the one you stopped at after school for an ice cream, where you carefully chose lollies with your pocket money, or where someone dashed in to grab a loaf of bread or a bottle of milk on the way home. It wasn't just a shop – it was part of the neighbourhood.

Favourite Dairy celebrates those iconic Kiwi corner stores and all the little details that made them so memorable. From the ice cream signs and pie menu to the familiar "Dogs Welcome" sign by the door, it's an artwork filled with the everyday moments that generations of New Zealanders will recognise.

Like many of my artworks, it's inspired by the ordinary places that quietly become part of our memories.
